From the balcony of the living room in country style of the bed & breakfast "ROSE" is possible to admire the hill of Modica Alta. On our left highest bridge of Europe and the Counts' Castle with its extraordinary roof-gardens that go down the rocky walls of this suggestive landscape; in the front the Cappuccini cloister and all the houses clung to the rock, down one of the large streets of Modica Bassa, which before the alluvium in 1902 was passed throught by the river Motucano.
Yes! The river Motucano and its affluents once flowed through Modica: the Janni Mauro and the Pozzo dei Pruni; this is why Modica was called "The Venice of the South".
"ROSE" is the bed & breakfast where you can enjoy the peace of a "Far Way World", in the morning the famous Sicilian hospitality will receive you with a rich breakfast, in the evening you will admire the crèche town (the County Town).
