The ATLANTIDE B&B is located at the centre of the old town, and tourists can visit this immensely rich cultural neighborhood on foot and discover its centuries old secrets, as well as the wonderful old buildings, which have been splendidly renovated, a number of whom gave the town its touch of Oriental magic. Cultural and gastronomic excellence are a feature of life in Palermo, reflecting the often exotic cuisine of its past rulers.
The B&B its self is on the first floor of a recently restored, Liberty-style old princely palace. It offers guest a choice from four double rooms, and also a communal living room. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, television and both furnishings and household linen of the best quality.
The B&B ATLANTIDE is 300 metres away from the Central Station, from which you can reach by Tube the Airport, and not distant from the Port. It is close to two famous old popular markets: “Ballarò” and “Vucciria” (immortalized by the painter Renato Guttuso).
Palermo’s old town is one of Europe’s largest (approx. 240 hectares) whit an immensely rich cultural heritage. It boasts over 500 historical monuments, which include princely palaces, churches, convents as well as seven theatres. This rare architectural and artistic testimony to the glories of the past was developed over a period of centuries, under the Sicily’s different foreign rulers.
